What Happens After I Pass the Texas Adjuster Course Exam?
Passing your Texas All-Lines Adjuster course exam is a major step, but it is not the final step.
After you successfully pass the Adjuster Academy of Texas course exam, we provide links to the next steps in the licensing process.
Those links include:
TDI fingerprint instructions/code
Sircon online license application
The state application is completed online.
Step 1: Start the fingerprint process
TDI says that to receive the fingerprint service code and instructions, applicants must begin the process through TDI’s online initial application and fingerprint portal.
The fingerprint step is important because most license applicants must complete a fingerprint background check through IdentoGO and provide proof that the fingerprints were sent to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Students should follow the current TDI fingerprint instructions carefully and keep the fingerprint receipt.
Step 2: Complete the online application through Sircon
After passing the exam and completing the fingerprint step, the next step is the online license application.
For resident all-lines adjuster applicants, TDI says the application is submitted online through Sircon. TDI also states that the resident applicant must submit the application within one year of passing the exam or the exam must be retaken.
This is why students should not wait too long after completing the course and exam.
Step 3: Wait for TDI review
After the student submits the online application, TDI reviews the application and determines whether the license will be approved.
TDI’s general licensing FAQ says most applications are processed within one business day, and after review, applicants receive an email with the decision or a request for more information.
Processing can still depend on whether the application is complete, whether fingerprints are properly submitted, and whether TDI needs additional information.
Common mistake to avoid
Do not assume that passing the course exam automatically creates your license.
The course exam is an important requirement, but the licensing process still requires fingerprints and the online application.
Ready to begin?
The best way to avoid confusion is to start with a course that clearly explains the process.
