- Take a Pre-Licensing Course: You must take an approved pre-licensing course before taking the state exam. Many courses (like those from the Adjuster Academy of Texas) have the state exam built into the course, allowing you to bypass taking the test through Pearson VUE.
- Get Fingerprinted: Complete your fingerprint background check. You can begin this process via the TDI Fingerprint Portal.
- Apply for the License: Submit your application online through Sircon within one year of passing the exam. The state application fee is $50.
